Measures of state support (subsidizing) of fish farming in Kazakhstan
Currently, Kazakhstan has a Program for the Development of Fisheries until 2030, which provides for state support measures for fish farming. To increase the productivity and quality of aquaculture (fish farming) products, as well as to develop breeding fish farming in Kazakhstan, subsidy rules have been developed. These rules provide an opportunity for entrepreneurs to reimburse part of fishing costs.
Subsidies are intended for producers (service recipients) to reduce the cost of aquaculture (fish farming) products by reimbursing:
- 30% of expenses for the purchase of feed used in the production of sturgeon, salmon, carp, catfish, cichlids, lats, Aravan fish species, and their hybrids, and crustaceans.
- 50% of expenses for the purchase of fish planting material (RPM).
- 50% of expenses for the purchase of “Fish-breeding and biological justification” (RBO).
