As part of the implementation of the research project titled: “Ichthyopathological studies of commercial fish species in the main fishing reservoirs of Kazakhstan, and the development of comprehensive measures to reduce the risks of mass spread of infectious fish diseases”, work was carried out from April 22 to April 30, 2025, by employees of the Atyrau branch of LLP “Fisheries Research and Production Center”, in collaboration with specialists from Kazakh Scientific Research Veterinary Institute LLP and NPC Microbiology and Virology LLP.Ichthyological samples were collected in the Zhaiyk and Kigash rivers.

A total of 108 samples were submitted for laboratory testing, covering all types of commercial fish found in these reservoirs.
