Scientific research on the assessment of the natural resource potential of the natural-economic systems in the Western Kazakhstan region continues this year by the Scientific and Production Center for Fisheries LLP, focusing on fishery resources (in Atyrau and Mangystau regions).

The staff of the Atyrau branch of LLP «Fisheries Research and Production Center» involved in these studies have started the stage of conducting monitoring research on water bodies in Atyrau region. At the observation stations along the Kigash River, from April 21 to 30, 2025, the expeditionary team, consisting of Director of the Atyrau branch Kadimov E.L., Senior Researcher Uteuliev T.A., Researcher Kadimov B.L., and Junior Researcher Suleimenov S.B., carried out the collection of hydrochemical, hydrobiological, and ichthyological samples for laboratory analysis. In addition, meteorological conditions in the study area are being recorded.

As part of ichthyological research, scientific sampling of fish is also being conducted at the monitoring stations.
