Today, 07.10.2024, the Head Office (Almaty) is holding a Research/Coordination Council to review reports on research work within the framework of research and technical programs for 2024-2026. The meeting is held in offline and online formats.

The meeting is held with the in-person participation of the Deputy Chairman of the Fisheries Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakhiyanov A.K., online participation of representatives of the Fisheries Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan: Kalmuratov M.K., Makhmetov I.S., Zhubaev A.B., Duysenbay B.B., Baylina G.Zh. Also, the Chairman of the Board of the “ALE “Republican Association of Fisheries and Aquaculture “Qazaq balyk” Rysbaev A.Zh. is taking part.

Online seminar on the topic: “Assessment and conservation of aquatic biological diversity and increasing fish productivity of reservoirs”

Today, October 04, 2024, an online seminar on the topic: “Assessment and conservation of aquatic biological diversity and increasing fish productivity of reservoirs” was held at the Head Office of the FishRPC.

At the seminar, the General Director of the FishRPC, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of the Republic Kazakhstan Isbekov K. B. made a presentation on the conservation and sustainable use of aquatic biodiversity in Kazakhstan. Presentation was also from (Leading Researcher of Ichthyology Laboratory, PhD Kulikov E. V., North branch of FishRPC, Kraynyuk V. N.). The online seminar was attended by: PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Biodiversity and Bioresourses of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Mamilov N.Sh., Executive Director of KAPE LLP, PhD in Biology Klimov F.V., Senior Researcher of the Laboratory of Biocenology and Hunting of the Institute of Zoology Linnik A.S. Today, September 27, 2024, an online seminar is being held at the FishRPC LLP on the topic: “Presentation of a prototype of an information system on a microservice architecture designed to collect data from annual instrumental surveys of fishery reservoirs, monitor fishery reservoirs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, carry out calculations to assess fish stocks taking into account the influence of various factors based on the developed mathematical model, determine the volume of the total allowable catch using the developed methodology.”

The speaker of the online seminar is Mars Bekkalievich Gabbasov, General Director of “Factor” Systems Research Company LLP, PhD in Physics and Mathematics, Associate Professor, Corresponding Member of the International Engineering Academy.

Today, September 25, 2024, an online seminar on the topic: “Mass bacterial viral infections of fish. Clinical manifestations (methods of sampling for laboratory analysis)” is being held at the Head Office of the FishRPC.

The speaker of the online seminar is a research associate of the Research and Production Center of Microbiology and Virology, Symbat Amangeldyevna Suleimenova.

Other questions of interest to the seminar participants were answered by Aydin Isagalievich Kydyrmanov, head of the virus ecology laboratory of the Scientific and Production Center of Microbiology and Virology, Doctor of Veterinary Sciences, Professor.

Scientific research works are being carried out on the river. Ile and Kapshagai reservoir within the framework of budget programs

 From September 5 to the present, the employees of the FishRPC (head of the expeditionary team Makambetov S.Zh., head of the expeditionary team Bakkozha Zh.M., research associates Pangereev B.S., Igilik R. and laboratory assistant Abishev N.B.) have been conducting the following research and development work on the Ile River and the Kapshagay Reservoir within the framework of the budget programs:

– BP 021 (PP 100) Section: Kapshagay Reservoir and the Ile River;

– BP 267 (PP 101) “Comprehensive studies of water bodies for the conservation and sustainable use of aquatic biological resources based on an assessment of their potential and modeling of stock dynamics”;

– RTP “Cadastre of wild animals of arid territories of the Balkhash-Alakol basin with an assessment of threats to their conservation and sustainable use”.

 Currently, the expedition team is carrying out the following work:

– collection and analysis of ichthyological material – the main biological indicators of fish;

– the composition of the commercial ichthyofauna in the reservoir is analyzed;

– autumn fish migration is studied;

– analysis of commercial catches of nature users in assigned fishing areas is carried out.

– echo sounding survey is carried out to account for the number of fish in the Kapchagay reservoir.

In addition, based on the letter of the RGU “Balkhash-Alakol Interregional Basin Inspectorate of Fisheries” dated July 22, 2024 No. 30.02-02-27 / 656, in accordance with the minutes of the meeting, an analysis of the commercial catch of fishermen is carried out together with specialists from the Kapchagay Fish Inspectorate department.

During the period of scientific research work on the Kapshagay reservoir, the chief specialist of the Kapshagay fishery inspection department “Balkhash-Alakol interregional basin fishery inspection (BAMBIRH)” Karbekov E.O. takes part.

       

         

Scientific research works are carried out on the lakes of the Alakol system within the framework of budget programs

From September 5 to the present, the employees of FishRPC: Head of the expeditionary team Karlybayuly S., Head of the expeditionary team Minat A., Junior researcher Otegen S. A., Senior laboratory assistant Zhazykbaev N. M., Laboratory assistant Sakharin. N. K. conduct research work on the lakes of the Alakol system within the framework of the following budget programs:

 Subprogram 100 within the framework of budget program 021 “Ensuring the management, conservation and development of fish resources”;

 “Comprehensive studies of water bodies for the conservation and sustainable use of aquatic biological resources based on an assessment of their potential and modeling of stock dynamics” (IRN: BR23591095);

“Cadastre of wild animals of arid territories of the Balkhash-Alakol basin with an assessment of threats to their conservation and sustainable use.”

Currently, the expedition team is carrying out the following work:

– collection and analysis of ichthyological material – the main biological indicators of fish;

Autumn expedition trip to the Kushum River and the Bitik reservoir

Work continues on the scientific and technical program BR21882122 “Sustainable development of natural-economic and socio-economic systems of the West Kazakhstan region in the context of green growth: comprehensive analysis, concept, forecast estimates and scenarios”.

The employees of the West Kazakhstan branch together with the Deputy General Director of the FishRPC, Doctor of Biological Sciences, head of the subproject block “Fish Resources” S.Zh. Asylbekova and employees of the Fish Inspection Department of West Kazakhstan Region organized an autumn expedition to the Kushum River and the Bitik Reservoir.

 During the work, the following monitoring samples were collected: phyto- and zooplankton, zoobenthos, as well as samples of hydrochemical and toxicological studies to assess the anthropogenic load and natural capital of reservoirs.

Applicant: «Fisheries Research and Production Center» LLP

Grantee / Private partner: «OstFish» LLP

Project goal: Organization of fish farming in the Yertis basin for the artificial reproduction, cultivation and sale of fish planting material of Siberian sturgeon for stocking natural reservoirs in order to replenish its population in its natural habitat.

 Project objectives:

  1. Creation of a production site for the industrial cultivation of Siberian sturgeon juveniles in the Irtysh water basin.
  2. Organization of work on obtaining Siberian sturgeon larvae and their rearing to the stage of resilient juveniles.
  3. Organization of the sale of final products (Siberian sturgeon juveniles).

Project implementation period: 2024-2026 yy.

Post-implementation period of the project: 2027-2029 yy.

Expected results:

  1. A production site will be created for the industrial cultivation of Siberian sturgeon juveniles in the Irtysh water basin.
  2. Work will be organized on the larvae of the Siberian sturgeon and their rearing to the stage of resilient juveniles.
  3. The sale of final products (Siberian sturgeon juveniles) will be organized.

Round table “International scientific and academic cooperation in solving urgent problems of natural sciences and humanities in order to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals”

On September 12, 2024, a round table “International scientific and academic cooperation in solving urgent problems of natural and humanitarian sciences to achieve the UN sustainable development goals” was organized at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, during which reports were heard from foreign guests, leading professors of the Center for European, Russian and Eurasian Studies of Michigan State University (MSU) – Steven G. Pueppke and Graham Norman. In a narrow format, issues of research projects carried out by various research institutes in Kazakhstan were discussed.

At the round table, a researcher of the aquaculture laboratory Barakov R.T. made a brief report on the activities of the FishRPC, current scientific projects, and the experience of previous research in the field of conservation of fish resources in natural reservoirs and artificial reproduction of rare and endangered fish species in Kazakhstan.

After listening to the reports by the staff of the laboratory of geoinformation analysis of landscape degradation, a presentation of the work premises and technical equipment was organized.

                         

 

The study of the autumn stage in the coastal monitoring stations of the Caspian Sea

This year, the employees of the FishRPC continue their research on the topic: BR21882122 “Sustainable development of natural, economic and socio-economic systems of the West Kazakhstan region in the context of green growth: comprehensive analysis, concept, forecast estimates and scenarios” (block: fish resources) of the scientific and technical program “Comprehensive research to ensure sustainable development of natural, economic and socio-economic systems of the West Kazakhstan region (Mangistau, Atyrau, West Kazakhstan and Aktobe regions) in the context of green growth”

The director of the Atyrau branch of the FishRPC Kadimov E.L., senior researcher Uteuliyev T.A., and junior researcher Suleimenov S.B. are taking part in the research of the autumn stage of collecting hydrochemical, hydrobiological and ichthyological samples at coastal monitoring stations of the Caspian Sea.
