On January 18, 2021, an international online webinar «State of the fisheries and aquaculture industry – Kazakhstan» was organized. The virtual briefing session on the state of the fisheries and aquaculture industry was presented by a series of web-based briefings and stakeholder discussions organized under the «Capacity Development for Sustainable Fisheries and Aquaculture Management in Central Asia, Azerbaijan and Turkey (Phase I – aquaculture and food safety). The project is being implemented under the FAO-Turkey Partnership Programme on Food and Agriculture (FTPP II) funded by the Government of the Republic of Turkey. Target countries of the project are Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. In the future, webinars will be organized for each of the seven countries on a monthly basis, which are listed alphabetically according to the english name of each country. Within the framework of the webinar, representatives of the Republic of Kazakhstan Head of the Department for the reproduction of fish resources and aquaculture of the Committee for Forestry and Wildlife Gabbasov Miras Maratovich and the General Director of the Scientific and Production Center of Fisheries LLP Isbekov Kuanysh Baibolatovich made official reports. The moderator of the webinar, Haydar Fersoy, made the closing words of thanks.
